The Greek Word Here for “proud” is “arrogant” …Romans 1 is a list of prideful acts.
[Romans 1:30-31 KJV] Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

It didn’t say it was a list of sins …they are horrific …that’s because they are beyond sin …they are death to your Relationship with GOD. pride is selfish …there is no Relationship in that.
[Romans 1:32 KJV] Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

you can’t come out of pride if you go into the lake of fire:

relying on someone else besides The LORD is pride: relying on your false church or doctrine is pride.
Isaiah 30:1-3 KJV — Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.
2 Chronicles 16:7-9 KJV — And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand. Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand. storing up material things is pride:
[Luke 12:15 KJV] And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
[Luke 12:20-21 KJV] But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
[21] So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
[Luke 12:33 KJV] Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
Why was a serpent allowed in The Garden Relationship? because the serpent turned into human pride. Look at The Ancient NAME Of GOD.
That’s a tree between two people with a serpent. GOD’S NAME Is The Living Relationship.

Matthew 10:16 KJV — Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
pride was cast to its belly to eat dirt …pride would be in a state of hell from then on.
[Genesis 3:13-14 KJV] And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
[14] And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
The Seed War is over pride: Being Born from New Jerusalem Bruises the head of pride.
