I agree generally but I also think that one can be a member of a church and still be saved. I think there are true and devout and loving followers of Christ, who do His will with integrity and Spirit, in most denominations. I think they have not been brought to all truth, or sweep the half truths and lies under the rug for the sake of religiosity and membership.

I didn’t ask you to compromise truth. I am merely talking about the methods we use. The worst and most obviously wicked out there are constantly justifying rebukes of their nasty behavior by saying that they left the world and hate the world and that they are the sole arbiters of truth. That is pride and spitefulness. Most Christians understand the importance of belonging to a good church and know that relying only on ourselves, and neglecting the tradition of gathering in his name, leads to the myriad crazy fad theologies that we see blossoming today. We are supposed to break bread with one another, and confess our sins to one another, as scripture states. This is all I want people to hear from me. I am not recommending any particular church or demanding that people believe in anything besides Christ and His Word.

The catholic building is not a Holy place it is just a building with people deep engrained in religion who meet weekly in their slumber. If the Vatican was of God it would have solved world hunger by now, since most of their palaces and high ranking members drip with wealth. The pope is an unholy creature, holding his graven image. The Bible is true and all men are liars.

I don’t even know what to make of all that; that’s how relevant it is to me. The personal sins part sounds kind of evangelical / non-denominational or maybe southern Baptist to me.
